Daily Itinerary
March 9 – After breakfast, we’ll take a city tour to explore the city of Ushuaia. The rest of the day will be free.
March 10
From Ushuaia, after breakfast, we will explore every corner of one of the most spectacular sites in Tierra del Fuego and complete the experience by boarding the End of the World Train, the southernmost railway on the planet.

March 11
In the afternoon, we will board our ship at the port. After the mandatory safety drill, we will begin our expedition by sailing through the Beagle Channel, the strait that divides the southern tip of Tierra del Fuego between Chile and Argentina and that has been the starting point of countless expeditions. As we make our way toward the challenging Drake Passage, we may spot whales and dolphins along the way.
March 12
We will continue sailing across the famous Drake Passage, known for its intense waters and strong westerly winds. Our ships, specially designed and crewed by experts, ensure comfort and safety during the voyage. We will use this crossing to prepare for arrival in Antarctica: attending briefings on safety, wildlife, history, and ecology, as well as performing biosecurity measures for clothing and equipment.
March 13
Upon reaching the Antarctic Convergence, the climate cools sharply and wildlife becomes abundant, with opportunities to spot albatrosses, petrels, whales, seals, and penguins. If conditions allow, we will make our first landing in the South Shetland Islands, marking the beginning of our exploration of the Last Continent.
March 14 to 17
Visits to Paradise Bay, Wilhelmina Bay, Neko Harbour, Cuverville Island, and Damoy Point.
Our Antarctic experience begins in the South Shetland Islands, a chain of islands rich in wildlife, including colonies of gentoo and chinstrap penguins, giant petrels, and unique landscapes such as Deception Island, the Aitcho Islands, Half Moon Island, and Yankee Harbour.
In the following days, we will explore further south on the Antarctic Peninsula and the Gerlache Strait, a region of glaciers, icebergs, and spectacular mountains. Possible activities include Zodiac cruises in Paradise Bay and Wilhelmina Bay, whale watching, walks in Neko Harbour, visits to penguin colonies on Cuverville Island, stops at historic huts such as Damoy Point, and navigation through the Lemaire Channel.
March 18 and 19
We begin our return from Antarctica, sailing two days north through the Drake Passage until we reach the Beagle Channel and Ushuaia once again. During the voyage, onboard activities will be organized to reflect on the experience: briefings by the expedition team in the Shackleton Lounge, cocktails at the Nordic Bar with new friends, or simply enjoying the flight of albatrosses accompanying our route.
On the final night, the captain and officers will host a farewell cocktail, followed by a presentation of photos and videos from the expedition—a perfect occasion to relive the best moments of the journey.
March 20
On the morning of the final day of the cruise, we will return to the pier in Ushuaia, Argentina. The trees, grass, and bustling city may feel strange after the white wilderness of Antarctica!
After a hearty breakfast, it’s time to say a warm farewell to the crew and the Albatros expedition team and disembark back onto solid ground.
March 21 – After breakfast, we will explore the Fagnano and Escondido Lakes area on a full-day excursion. Lunch not included.
March 22 – After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the return flight to Córdoba or Buenos Aires.
